Common issues

The extension won't connect

Symptom: The banner in Recrut'Auto indicates that the extension is not detected.

Solutions:

1. Make sure you are logged in to console.recrutauto.fr in the same browser
2. Refresh the console page
3. Disable then re-enable the extension
4. Log out and back in to the console

(Safari) The extension doesn't appear after installation

Symptom: You installed the app from the Mac App Store but the extension is not active.

Solutions:

1. Open Safari ▸ Settings ▸ Extensions and tick "Recrut'Auto"
2. Allow access to linkedin.com and console.recrutauto.fr when Safari prompts
3. Make sure you are on Safari 17 or newer (macOS 14 Sonoma minimum)
4. Open console.recrutauto.fr in Safari to trigger the connection

Profiles are not being scraped

Symptom: You visit LinkedIn profiles but they don't appear in Recrut'Auto.

Solutions:

1. Check that the extension is active (icon in the extensions bar)
2. Make sure you are logged in to LinkedIn
3. Wait a few seconds on the profile for scraping to complete
4. Check your internet connection

Messages are not syncing

Symptom: LinkedIn conversations are not appearing in Recrut'Auto.

Solutions:

1. Navigate to your LinkedIn messaging to trigger sync
2. Check that the extension has the necessary permissions
3. Reinstall the extension if the issue persists

Reinstall the extension

If the above solutions don't work:

1. Remove the extension from your browser settings
2. Restart the browser
3. Reinstall the extension from the store
4. Log back in to the Recrut'Auto console

Is my LinkedIn data secure? Yes, data is transmitted securely to your Recrut'Auto account and is not shared with any third party.

Which browsers does the extension work on? Chrome, Edge and Safari (macOS, Safari 17 or newer). Firefox is not supported at this time.
